Thank you Los Angeles Times for featuring the NBCUniversal Campus Project designed by LEVER in collaboration with Field Operations. The project transforms the Universal Studios Lot into a contemporary campus that integrates architecture and landscape while prioritizing sustainability.

The Campus Project introduces One Universal, a 350,000-square-foot office building with 11 stories set into a hillside, creating outdoor terraces and maximizing views. The Commons, a circular building inspired by a zoetrope, features a commissary, a full-service restaurant, and a theater complex, including a 250-seat screening room. The Commons has received LEED Platinum certification, while One Universal is in the process of achieving the same rating.

The project’s landscape, designed by Field Operations, includes the Paseo, a California-inspired green space connecting One Universal with the Commons. This area encourages outdoor work and collaboration, featuring tree-lined promenades and gathering spaces. The redesign replaces outdated structures, reinforcing NBCUniversal’s commitment to creating an engaging and sustainable workplace.

The Campus Project is part of NBCUniversal’s Evolution Plan, a long-term vision to enhance its Universal City property, balancing production, tourism, and environmental responsibility. For more information, please visit NBCUniversal Campus Project.
