Designed by LEVER, Timberlab's new cross-laminated timber (CLT) manufacturing facility in Millersburg, Oregon, will span 190,000 square feet, making it one of the largest CLT production sites in the country. The facility, constructed by Swinerton Builders, is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. It will produce between 7 million and 9 million square feet of CLT annually, supporting the expansion of mass timber construction.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 1, 2025, to mark the start of construction. The facility will be built using glue-laminated timber sourced from Timberlab’s Oregon operations. A federal Wood Innovations Grant supports the project’s design, and the University of Oregon and the Tall Wood Design Institute are contributing research on mass timber manufacturing and design.

The facility will be supported by a sawmill and planing mill in Philomath, acquired to align with the needs of CLT production. Timberlab has also expanded its operations with additional glue-laminated timber facilities in Swisshome and Drain.

The project aims to strengthen Oregon’s mass timber supply chain, contributing to sustainable construction practices and economic growth. LEVER’s design integrates efficiency and large-scale production capabilities, reinforcing the facility’s role in advancing timber construction technologies.
