Thank you, San Diego Union Tribune for highlighting LEVER's residential project featured in the New York Times. The 1,256-square-foot single-level home, located on a double lot in Portland’s Alberta Arts District, was designed for homeowners transitioning from a three-story Craftsman-style residence. The project includes a corrugated metal exterior, expansive glass openings, and covered porches that support indoor-outdoor connections. Passive cooling strategies, including cross-ventilation and a ventilated air cavity, enhance energy performance alongside high insulation and a heat-recovery system. A newly designed garden contributes to the home’s relationship with the site.
