The New York Times names the LEVER-designed exhibition “Africa Fashion” to its list of museum and gallery shows to see this winter.

On view at the Portland Art Museum from Nov 18, 2023 - Feb 18, 2024, “Africa Fashion” is a celebration of the rich tapestry of creativity woven across the African continent. Spanning from the mid-20th century to the present day, the exhibition includes the historical significance of influential designers such as Kofi Ansah, Chris Seydou, and Naïma Bennis. Additionally, it spotlights designers such as Thebe Magugu from South Africa and Imane Ayissi from Cameroon. Through this diverse collection, "Africa Fashion" invites visitors to explore and appreciate the evolution and impact of African fashion over the years.
