The University of Arkansas' Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with the architecture and planning firm ISG, is hosting Tall Timber: The Future of Cities in Wood, a multimedia exhibition examining the use of mass timber in multi-story construction. The exhibition is on view from February 7 through March 24, 2025.
The exhibition features architectural models, videos, and informational graphics highlighting the role of mass timber in sustainable urban development. LEVER’s Framework project is included in the exhibition. Originally installed at the Skyscraper Museum in New York, the exhibition explores the potential of mass timber to reduce the environmental impact of high-rise buildings by lowering embodied carbon and sequestering carbon through photosynthesis.
Display monitors present CLT factory production and mass timber construction processes, including LEVER's project Albina Yard. Other content includes fire testing research from the Chicago Architecture Center and videos on mass timber construction from various industry partners. Admission to the exhibition is free and open to the public from 8 am—5 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information about the exhibition, please visit University of Arkansas.
