Project Coordinator/Executive Assistant

The firm is seeking a Project Coordinator/Executive Assistant to provide a wide range of support for project leadership on key projects. The responsibilities of this role extend beyond that of an Executive Assistant and encompasses organizational and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend project meetings and take notes, record and track action items, document timelines and deliverables
  • Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and texts and interfacing with clients
  • Prepare internal and external corporate documents for team members and consultant partners
  • Calendar maintenance: schedule meetings and appointments, track re-occurring events, and maintain team member availability
  • Assist in tracking meeting minutes and action items

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years as an Executive Assistant or Project Coordinator
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software
  • Understanding of virtual meeting software, including Zoom and Google Meets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with
  • impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • Ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with client and partner executive teams

Intermediate Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Associate or Principal in charge, and potentially functioning as a project architect or project manager
  • Production of diagrams, models, renderings, and drawings for internal study, design presentation, consultant coordination, or client presentations
  • Research and preparation of presentation materials
  • Coordination with various engineers and consultants as required for the successful completion of various phases of design
  • Responsibility for the management and/or production of construction and contract documents
  • The ability to collaborate, work productively, and potentially lead various tasks or phases in a team-based studio environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 5-8 years professional architecture experience
  • Licensed Architect is a plus
  • Experience and familiarity with industry standard design software, including Revit required
  • Experience and familiarity with building codes a plus
  • Comfortable working independently and as a productive member of a team
  • Experience coordinating with engineers and consultants
  • Experience producing detailed construction document sets and/or construction administration experience
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in ongoing learning and action to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession and community
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Portland, Oregon

 

Senior Project Architect / Project Manager

LEVER is looking for a Senior Project Manager/Project Architect to lead and manage design teams and engineering consultants responsible for the design and delivery of mid and large-scale projects. As a Project Manager, you will be highly involved in all phases of project delivery, manage day-to-day communications with the client, consultants and team members to produce an outstanding design and exceptional client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead project architect/manager and drive project delivery during all phases
  • Advance creative design direction for the project team
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
  • Lead the relationships with the contractor, engineering and specialty consultants
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements
  • Review internal project accounting documents and process draft project billing
  • Participate in project marketing, proposal writing, and project interviews
  • Manage mid-size to large project teams, assign and monitor completion of tasks
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Oversee the coordination and document preparation for the project and provide quality assurance via review of project documentation

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of Project Management experience in an architecture firm, working on a variety of project types, including corporate campus and/or institutional clients
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Licensed Architect a plus
  • Extensive experience in all phases of architectural projects
  • Ability to provide excellent client service and assure project profitability
  • Desire to lead teams and to mentor junior staff
  • Strong programming and space planning skills
  • High level of design competence and expertise in corporate and/or mixed-use developments
  • High level of knowledge of state and local building codes, including accessibility
  • Computer savvy with moderate or better skills in Microsoft Office, and Revit
  • Interest in ongoing learning and action to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession and community
