LEVER completed the first structure in the US made from a new material called Mass Plywood. The structure is installed at the Portland Art Museum as part of the exhibition “Quest for Beauty: The Architecture, Landscapes, and Collections of John Yeon.” Yeon was one of the first modern architects to use plywood to create beautiful and economical homes in Oregon in the 1930s. In the spirit of innovation with plywood, this seasonal pavilion for the museum's outdoor sculpture court was made with a next generation plywood product manufactured by Freres Lumber Co of Lyons, Oregon. The pavilion is on view, together with the exhibition, through September 3, 2017.
