LEVER has joined a team of experts led by SWA Landscape Architecture to create a new vision for 1,658 acres of undeveloped land that was purchased by the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District in the city of Highland. Efforts for this planning process will be focused on habitat restoration, species conservation, and watershed health. The design team includes water supply infrastructure specialists as well as biologists and environmental engineers.
A community outreach process began earlier this year and will consist of several workshops and informational sessions. One of the goals of the study is to explore options for a new visitor center and educational facility, which could showcase the Water District’s mission and vision.
