Climate Smart Wood Group will host a webinar titled “Case studies in CSW procurement – Intentional Sourcing of Climate Smart Wood” on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 12 pm PST. The session will address intentional sourcing practices, including identifying and procuring wood from non-certified forestry operations whose management reflects climate-smart criteria such as carbon storage, ecological integrity, and social benefit.
Timothy Cooke, LEVER, will present the Portland State University Schnitzer School of Art + Art History + Design, and Alison Peitz, Lake Flato, will discuss the Montana State University Gianforte School of Computing. The webinar will examine project approaches and outline considerations involved in applying these sourcing strategies to complex public projects, including outcomes and areas for future refinement.
