Marketing / Proposal Specialist

LEVER Architecture is mid-sized practice recognized for design excellence and innovative work with mass timber construction. Based in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California the firm collaborates with communities and institutions to design buildings that elevate human experience and foreground social and climate justice. 

We are seeking a Marketing/Proposal Specialist with 5+ years of experience to lead the preparation of marketing materials with a specific emphasis on proposals and qualifications packages. In this role, you will independently manage proposal production including the creation of original writing, custom presentation design, and subconsultant coordination. Together with the Marketing Principal and other senior leaders, you will contribute to cultural, civic, higher education, and affordable housing pursuits.

Management and production of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other marketing collateral

Interview presentation preparation

Maintaining marketing data and proposal templates

Writing project descriptions and other marketing related content

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience executing proposals at an architecture firm; this includes managing the process and creating original content

Fluency with InDesign

Strong writer and visual thinker

Takes ownership of work; feels confident in a deadline- and production-oriented role

Comfortable working independently and in the context of a small team

Detailed-oriented; understands the importance of thoughtful and accurate work

Genuine passion for contemporary architecture

Experience with higher education and cultural markets is a plus


5+ years relevant experience

Interest in ongoing learning and action to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession and community

This is a full-time position based in our Portland office, though remote candidates will be considered. Relocation stipends may be available for new employees moving to Oregon.

LEVER is currently a hybrid office structure, with teams working in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
